The North Florida Inn in Jennings, Florida is where hotel employees say a shooting happened around 3:30 Sunday morning.
The hotel manager says Antonio Javar whetstone was staying in room 115 with an unknown woman. Whetstone's family says his girlfriend Livita Daniels came to the hotel to find him.
Whetstone's family says Daniels told them she crawled into his room by pushing in the air conditioning unit.
"And that's when Javar got scared. Javar called 911 and told that someone was breaking in the room and that's when police came up," says Whetstone's mother Sandra Grady.
F.D.L.E. confirms a sheriff's deputy responded to the 911 call.
The hotel manager says officers told her a deputy tazed and shot Whetstone four times because he pulled a gun on the deputy. But Whetstone's family says they don't believe that.
In the meantime, the family is awaiting official word from the sheriff's office as to why Antionio Whetsone was gunned down at the hotel.
WCTV contacted the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office about the incident, but they would not release any official information at this time.
