The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office had been watching him for more than a month, and now they've got their man. John Christopher Burgess was caught Thursday right in the middle of cooking methamphetamine inside his home.
More than 1500 grams of liquid meth were found in Burgess's home and storage shed. Specialists with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement were called in to remove toxic materials found used to make the drug.
Burgess is charged with trafficking, manufacturing, and possessing methamphetamine. An adult and a child present at the home were interviewed and released.
Sgt Morrison says the department hopes for more arrests with this operation.
