It happened around 1:30 Thursday afternoon on I-10 in Madison County, Florida.
Twenty-one-year-old Amanda Carver was taken to Tallahassee Memorial in critical condition. The truck driver, 48-year-old Kenneth Weston, was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Troopers say the combination of wet roads and high speed likely contributed to the crash.
Trooper Tom Roderick with the Florida Highway Patrol says, "You always need to slow your speed in the rain by at least 15 miles an hour. If it’s an interstate highway you need to travel a minimum speed, but govern your speed accordingly."
Troopers say this crash just one of five area accidents on Interstate 10 happening within minutes of each other.
