A woman serving a 10-year prison sentence for abusing children at the day care center where she worked was back in court Tuesday.
Veleka Bryant was in court trying to convince the judge that she deserves a new trial because her lawyer was incompetent.
Bryant worked at the Color Me Kids day care center and was caught on tape striking and choking children there. Her first conviction was thrown out on appeal. Her second was upheld.
Judge Dekker says she'll make a ruling on this motion after the holidays.
