The Technology Gap Between Parents and Children

The hot items this holiday season for teens, iPods, laptops and Xboxs, all come in little boxes with big price tags. How do these electronics compare to the technology their parents used?

"We used to call them walkmans, we had little cassette tapes. Now they're mp3 players that are just all electronic little memory chips, nothing to it. I know nothing about it. I don't need to. It's not important to me," says parent Hope Williams.

"She's kind of out of date with everything, so I’ve got to keep her up to speed," agrees her son, Marcus Miller.

Some don't even see the need to keep up to date with constant upgrades in the electronic section.

"As I get older I don't want to keep up with all the technology, it's not important to me, but kids have to know it almost to get their jobs done these days," adds Williams

So if you're still looking for a gift for your child, experts say you can't go wrong with an Xbox, which is topping the lists for sales.
