The Associated Press reports a youth choir from a private school in Valdosta is among two Georgia groups invited to travel to Rome and sing for Pope Benedict the 16th.
The singers are from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Valdosta. They'll also sing during Pope Benedict the 16th's first New Year's Day Mass.
The 32 Valdosta singers and adult chaperons will fly to Rome on Monday for three performances over eight days.
