The trip followed Wednesday’s State of the State Address.
Perdue has also presented his proposed budget to the General Assembly, a plan that focuses on children, job creation and public safety.
Gov. Sonny Perdue says, "It's a great year for Georgia, good news to tell, and I love to make sure the people in south Georgia know that Georgia's growing again, on the mend, and we're investing in those things and going to make a difference for the future."
Perdue says his major priority will focus on education.
