Tallahassee joins with more than 150 cities and 80 countries to celebrate World Religion Day, which is a celebration started in 1950 by the Baha'i faith.
This is the 24th year Tallahassee has participated in World Religion Day.
Organizers say it's important to celebrate this day because all communities, small and large, are made up of numerous religions.
Chris Sedlocek, a Baha'i representative, says, "These are members of our community who are coming to tell us more about their faith, their religion, and why that interaction with others is so important."
Tallahassee Mayor John Marks proclaimed January 15th World Religion Day. Quincy Mayor Sherri Taylor joined in Sunday's celebrations at the Temple Israel.
