Judges, state attorneys and lawyers from around Florida attended Ray Marky's funeral at Faith Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee.
Marky represented Florida in hundreds of criminal cases during his 41 years of legal service. Judges and attorneys often relied on Marky's legal expertise and advise.
"Ray Marky was my mentor since 1992. He was a type of person that his door was always open to everybody and everybody talks about what a great lawyer Ray was, but Ray was even a greater person," says Ron Flury, assistant state attorney.
Marky served the state of Florida for about 20 years at the attorney general's office and another 20 years with the state attorney's office.
