A 16-year-old girl who led Tallahassee Police on a wild ride down Tennessee Street will be charged as an adult.
Anquette Giddens was arrested and accused of plowing into at least 10 cars. Even police gunfire didn't stop her.
Wednesday, the assistant state attorney says based on her history of trouble and the seriousness of this joyride, Giddens will face felony charges as an adult.
Why did she run from police?
"Bottom line, she just did not want to be caught or stopped by police. She wanted to get the car home that she stole from her mother and get that car back home in a safe manner. Unfortunately, she ended up striking 10 or 12 cars."
Veteran OFC John Creamer fired at Giddens' car, claiming she nearly ran over him. She was not struck by any bullets, but per department policy, OFC Creamer will remain on paid leave until the investigation is over.
