Gov. Bush’s $71 billion spending plan includes a five percent increase in community college and university tuition.
But the governor insists higher education is still a bargain in Florida.
Gov. Jeb Bush says, “My personal belief is if you look at the costs of going to our community colleges and public universities, it will probably be the best bang for the buck that any Floridian will ever have with any level of government. They aren’t going to get anything better than that.”
Bush says the tuition hike is the only fee increase contained in his new budget.
