The Tallahassee chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference is planning a trip to the funeral of Coretta Scott King.
Everyone is welcome.
The body of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s widow lies in state in Atlanta. Scott King died early Monday morning in Mexico at the age of 78. The SCLC says the day-long trip is its way of paying respects to the civil rights heroine.
Rev. William Foutz, President of SCLC, says, "We feel by joining up there, that's why we're jumping out right away when we heard the news. We want to be there. I think it would be great for the Tallahasseans to get involved."
If you would like to join the organization to King's funeral, call 850-878-8658. They will be traveling by charter bus and seating is limited.
