A Tallahassee woman accused of opening fire on two Leon County sheriff's deputies is on her way to jail.
Fifty-seven-year-old Arrie Cherry was arrested and charged with attempted murder back in 2004 after deputies responded to a disturbance on Slash Pine Way.
They say Cherry retrieved a gun and fired several shots. She was ultimately shot by the deputies and survived.
Court records show that Cherry pled no contest to attempted manslaughter and was sentenced to 14 months in jail and another 15 years of probation.
Upon release, the judge ordered Cherry to stay with family in Live Oak and continue with mental health treatments.
