Gadsden County residents will have to wait a few more months before they can check out books at the new facility.
The contractor was able to finish the exterior portion ahead of schedule, but has some minor repairs on his checklist to complete.
Commissioner Ed Dixon says, "We will have a new learning, new institution and new technological up to date place with better stock pile of books and opportunities to take advantage of those things earlier.”
Since the project was completed ahead of schedule, contractors reimbursed the county with a hefty $27,000 check.
For the next two months library patrons will continue using the old library until the facility is fully furnished.
