FAMU Interim President Castell Bryant will remain the top Rattler for a bit longer.

During a recent Board of Trustees meeting in Orlando, FAMU trustees approved a contract extension of up to two years.

Trustee Ramon Alexander says this gives the university a nice buffer to allot for the 60 day window of transition needed when a new president is selected.

"The search committee will be selected by the month of June, and by August 10th our plan of action will be submitted to the Board of Governors for approval; then we can begin bringing in the finalists as candidates to review," says FAMU Trustee Ramon Alexander.

Trustee members also discussed the technology concerns on campus. Alexander says there is not a crisis, but upgrades are needed.
