A missing woman returns home after a half day search by the Leon County Sheriff's Office.
Sherry Puza was reported missing from her home off Lone Star Road Saturday afternoon. Deputies and other rescue squads immediately jumped into action to search for the missing woman in the heavily wooded area.
LCSO says it was a joint task to try and bring Puza home safely.
Lt. Rory Robbins, with LCSO says, "We responded we were unable to locate her we ended up having k-9 respond and the forest patrol and even had the helicopter out looking for her."
The same family members that reported Puza missing Saturday say she came home around eight o'clock Sunday morning. She was given a mental and physical evaluation and is doing fine.
Deputies say she told them she just needed to go for a walk.
