Gingrich is the founder of the National Center for Health Transformation. He addressed the state legislature, praising Jeb Bush and others for Florida’s efforts to reform Medicaid and improve access to health care.
“We can literally show around the country and talk around the country about innovative things you’re doing that are improving the quality of life and reducing the cost of health care and I think you should feel very good that in many cases this is the most innovative state in the country in the area of health and it’s important for every Floridian, but it’s also important for the country at large what you’re doing, for every American.”
But Democrats argue Florida is going backwards when it comes to health care. They point to statistics showing that Floridians who have no health insurance or access to health care have both increased.
