A Leon County bailiff, accused of molesting a child some 27 years ago, will have to remain behind bars until his trial.
Rick Dyke is accused of sexually battering a girl over a span of three years from the time she was 10 until she was 13, all of it years before he became a bailiff.
Dyke and his attorney were in court Monday, trying to convince a judge that he deserved to be freed on bond until his trial.
But late this afternoon Judge Leandra Johnson said no, citing what she called Dyke's "obvious" guilt and the victim's desire to keep him locked up.
