The Leon County Sheriff's office is saying good-bye to one of its own. After more than 30 years on the force, Captain Steve Bodiford is retiring, and he says it happily.
As a detective, Bodiford was closely involved in the Ted Bundy murder case. The captain said he never planned on staying with the sheriff's office as long as he did, he says it just turned out that way.
Bodiford plans to stay in the area with his wife. The only thing on the agenda is an extended vacation, followed by some more relaxing.
