The Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce is hosting its second annual Entrepreneur Extravaganza. Residents are discovering ways to start their own business or expand existing ones.
"Information is power, and I think we are here to learn. The more information we have the better decisions you make," says Penelope Edwards, a Conard Valdosta resident.
Not only were information sessions offered, but franchisors from all across the country were here looking to expand their companies.
"If you have the drive, if you have the ambition and you come to a show like this if gives you more information. It keeps those fires burning,” says Ann Barnas.
Barnas is one of the owners of Smith Barnas and Associates. They were given some fuel to their company’s fire in the form of a $10,000 check, which left her partner feeling a bit over whelmed.
"We've been as nervous as can be, I think probably our feelings have been any where from excitement to fear to breathlessness to calm to you name it, it's been wonderful,” says Megan Smith of Smith Barnas & Associates.
