Every child can succeed, and two elementary schools in Leon County are proving it!
Gilchrist Elementary and Hawks Rise Elementary have both made the top 20 list of best performing schools in the state.
The research was done by the Council for Educational Change.
The two principals for the schools say they are very excited for the teachers and students. Superintendent Bill Montford, couldn't be more proud.
We're so very excited to have just one, we've got two in those schools,” Montford comments.
When the F-CAT testing is finished, students, teachers and administrators will have a special party at the two schools to celebrate their success and the end of f-cat testing.
