The Ronald McDonald House of Tallahassee has more food on its shelves thanks to a handful of local organizations.
The Florida State University chapter of the Homer Thomas III Diabetes Foundation hosted Saturday's food drive.
The organization hosts events throughout the year to help the community.
Organizers hope to make the food drive an annual event.
Freddie Roberts, vice president with the HT3 Diabetes Foundation, says, "There are approximately anywhere from 13 to 15 organizations from on campus, FSU campus, as well as FAMU, as well as different businesses around the city that will be donating food as well."
The Ronald McDonald House is open 24 hours a day and can house nine families at one time, and needs all the donations they can get.
