Putting their best foot forward, residents ran through Maclay Gardens to raise money for Lee's Place.
Lee's Place is a non-profit grief and loss counseling center. All proceeds from the race registration will go towards counseling services, and by the looks of it, the threat of bad weather in Tallahassee didn't scare racers off.
Tara Stalnaker with Lee's Place says, "It's a fun run, people like to come out, people love Maclay Gardens, so that way people like to do the run. The fact that it helps Lee's Place is just an added bonus for them."
This is the fourth annual Lee's Place 5k. More than 100 participants made it out to support the organization.
