Tallahassee police are on the hunt for a gunman. The armed man barged into a convenience store near FSU's campus, demanded money, then took off without a trace.
The holdup happened during broad daylight Tuesday at the BP gas station on Lake Bradford Road.
Police say an armed man walked up to the cash register, flashed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk says after he opened the register and handed over the cash, the suspect told him to lie on the floor face down. That's when the suspect took off out the door.
The clerk says one thing that worries him is the surveillance camera in the store is broken, so police will not have that as a tool to help solve this crime. There is, however, a very detailed description of the suspect. He's described as a six foot, muscular black male in his 20s.
He was last seen wearing a gray shirt over a red shirt, jeans, sneakers and sunglasses. Police believe he may be driving a rental car: a silver four door Suzuki.
If you have any information that could help solve this crime, you're urged to call police right away.
