The weapons turned out to be replica pellet guns, but investigators say they look like the real thing.
Eighteen-year-old Joshua Skarica, his 16-year-old brother Shawn, and 17-year-old James Smoaks are all charged with a third degree felony.
Investigators say two of the students were seen in a school parking lot showing off the guns in their waistbands.
"I then made contact with the students and interviewed them. They basically emphasized to me that they had brought the weapons on campus and had them on them as a show that they wanted respect,” says DEP Paul Emmons of the Leon County Sherriff’s Office.
All three students are accused of showing off the weapons.
One gun was found in a car, the other with one of the students waiting for a friend on campus.
