The eminent war with Iraq didn't dampen the mood at Tallahassee’s official kick off to spring. Hundreds gathered in Bloxom Park for breakfast Wednesday morning.

If good old fashion grits, eggs, sausage and country style biscuits are your thing- downtown Tallahassee was the place to be Wednesday morning.

And even with the uncertainty of war, those who attended say events like these must go on!

Many staff members and volunteers worked countless hours to make sure the event was a success. They say the breakfast, which brings hundreds in the community together, couldn't have come at a better time.

Father of two, Mark Denton made it a priority to bring his children to breakfast.

Breakfast in the park is only the beginning of Tallahassee springtime festivities. The 35th annual grand parade and jubilee in the park will take place Saturday, April 5.
