A lot of people will be lacing up their shoes this weekend to walk for important causes including cystic fibrosis and multiple sclerosis.
Daniel Thompson will be walking slowly on Saturday. He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis two years ago and says he's fallen more in the last few years of his life than in the first.
Thompson takes a form of chemotherapy to help him deal with the neurological disease and says this weekend's walk gives him hope.
Daniel says, "There's children that have MS, fathers and brothers and moms and dads, and it affects so many different people, and if we can raise awareness and help keep the pressure on for a cure, because at this time there is no cure."
The MS Walk will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Southwood.
