Over 200 volunteers came out in Tallahassee Sunday, all for the sake of doing good deeds.
These do-gooders were taking part in the fifth annual "Mitzah Day" hosted by Temple Israel members. Many locations across the capital city were getting a little sprucing up.
The volunteers did a little gardening at Sable Palm Elementary School.
Wendy Sokolow, the project captain, said, "As a community we get together and get out and do good deeds for everybody, and as rabbi pointed out, we're members of the community, so the good deeds that we're doing we're also doing for us as well."
The school held a fundraiser to help pay for the supplies. Volunteers also helped Echo Ministries, the Hope House Rescue Mission, and Big Bend Cares, just to name a few.
