Florida Bill Would Keep Protesters Out of Military Funerals

Veterans groups throughout the country have been outraged by the actions of a church in Kansas.

Members of the Westboro Baptist Church claim American war deaths are God’s punishment for tolerating gays and lesbians and they’ve been cheering the deaths of U.S. soldiers.

State Senator Mike Bennett of Bradenton said enough is enough.

"This is not a restriction on freedom of speech. It is the ability for people to have peace at home when they’re burying their family members who died for this country."

The military funeral bill is up for a final vote in the Senate Tuesday. It has already been approved by the House of Representatives.
