The director of FAMU's Developmental Research School is calling it quits.

In a letter to FAMU provost Debra Austin, Dr. Marvin Henderson has submitted his resignation, effective May 18.

Henderson does not go into detail about his decision, only saying he appreciates the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of teachers, students and parents.

This letter comes as the university recently broke ground on a new DRS building scheduled to be open later this year.
