Marines from the Second Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion in southern Iraq rolled out on a mission to capture the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people.
At a small village the Marines unload hundreds of food packages, a civilian version of the military meals ready to eat.
With the Marines still waiting for their logistics train to catch up, much of the work here in the next few days will focus on humanitarian relief.
