The $80,000 emergency response vehicle allows the Red Cross to serve a thousand hot meals a day.
The mobile feeding truck comes equipped with high-tech food containers, distribution supplies, and plenty of communication gear.
The new truck joins a similar truck the Capital Area Red Cross has used since 1993.
Chris Floyd says, "This gives us an additional asset here in north Florida. It adds to our fleet to allow us when we have a large disaster to be in many more places in one time."
The truck is part of the Red Cross' national fleet, which means it could be sent to any disaster across the country.
