Another person has thrown the hat into the race for Leon County schools superintendent.
Current assistant superintendent Iris Wilson announced she'll go after the seat.
Wilson has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and executive director of elementary education. If elected, she says she'll keep her primary focus on all children.
Iris Wilson said, "My vision for Leon County schools is to continue the progress that we have made in the past and to build on that, focusing on closing the achievement gap so that just a few of our schools are exceptional, but that all of our schools are exceptional."
Wilson joins three others vying for the superintendent seat.
Also in the running is Randy Pridgeon, Jackie Pons and Rosemary Palmer.
