The president of the FAMU National Alumni Association is speaking out following the firing of eight faculty members from the business school.
Dr. Alvin Bryant is sending letters to FSMU officials calling the firings "unheard of in higher education." The letters say he's gotten a flood of e-mails and phone calls from concerned alumni.
In one of them he says, "Your actions are being reported to me as a travesty, an injustice, thoughtless and without compassion. I concur"
Eyewitness News spoke to a FAMU spokesperson who says whatever the issues are, the school will work to resolve them in the near future.
