The city of Thomasville is getting 32 grand for a makeover!
The money is coming from the local development fund grants awarded to 48 Georgia cities.
Gov. Sonny Perdue says the money will be used for recreation, beautification and increasing economic development and tourism for Georgia.
Thomasville will receive $16,000 and those funds will then be matched by the Rose City for a total of $32,000.
The money will be used for improvements for landscaping on rights-of-way and medians and improvements to historic public buildings, including the Thomas County Courthouse.
