A two-week crackdown on deadbeat parents is wrapping up this weekend just in time for Father's Day.
Deputies in Leon, Jefferson and Wakulla County are trying to track down more than 80 parents who are behind in their child support payments.
So far in Leon County eight people have been arrested, several more have come in to pay up, and nearly $5,000 has been collected.
SGT Ken McDonald with LCSO said, "The whole emphasis here is to collect the kids, the money for the children so they can be provided for correctly and since it is Father's Day; it's kind of an attention getter."
A spokesman for the Department of Revenue's Child Support Enforcement Division says the 83 people on this deadbeat list have resisted several other attempts to collect back child support.
