FSU Group Leaving for Japan

FSU students are getting ready to head overseas for a first of its kind visit to Japan. In the past, the Asian country has been less accessible due to cost and cultural barriers.

The International Studies Group will brave the 13-hour time change, to do a little business.

After living and working in Japan, Director of FSU International Business Gary Knight is a good resource. Knight will accompany 16 FSU business students for a six-week stay in Japan.

As the 3rd leading trade partner of the U.S., Knight says its imperative Americans get up to speed. He said, "there are a lot of Japanese business people who understand, but very few Americans who understand Japanese business."

While attending class four days a week, students will also tour companies, such as banks and factories.

Knight says travel to Japan has been deemed safe by federal and international agencies that monitor health concerns.
