Five men have been arrested, suspected of kidnapping a Cairo teen. Two other men, Jose Miguel Encina and Gaspar Encina, are in custody in Grady County, suspected in the teen's disappearance.
The Cairo Police Department says they were among a group of men who knocked on the victim's door, barged in and physically dragged her out and threw her in a pickup truck.
Offices say the family recognized the suspected ring leader.
INV Wandell Asbell with the Cairo Police Department said, "The family was familiar with Salvador Santiz and immediately gave us his name and vehicle description. We began checking known addresses and family members of the suspect."
The suspect's vehicle was found abandoned in Grady County. Police say the three men in custody in Tallahassee will eventually be extradited back to Georgia to face charges in the Peach State.
