Laurie Aiken is one success story.
After living at the HOPE Community dorms with her son Brandon for months, Aiken was able to find a job and save enough money to move into her first home.
She says the HOPE Community has helped her find the strength to rebuild her life.
Laurie said, "I am so excited so very excited. We've been here six months and I've saved up enough money and found the right place safe place for me and my son. He means more to me than anything, so I had to find the safest place for him too, and we're moving!"
Staff say the HOPE Community program has an alarming success rate of 69 percent. The national average is 35 percent.
