It was a scary Monday morning for a truck driver as his 18 wheeler caught on fire.
It happened shortly after 8:00 a.m. Monday morning at I-10 and Pat Thomas Highway in Gadsden County.
Authorities say the brakes on the truck overheated, causing the flames.
A fire chief on scene says the truck driver did the right thing by attempting to detach his trailer.
"The best thing to do is to take your tractor away from the trailer, get away from it and call the fire department to take care of it," said Buddy Hosey, Fire Chief of the Wetumpka Fire Department, who says no one was injured as a result of the blaze.
