Tallahassee Community College is helping Wakulla County businesses cash in through eco-tourism.
Starting this fall, the TCC-Wakulla Center will offer courses to help business owners become aware of the county's natural surroundings.
The goal of the "green guide" program is to show businesses how to promote the county's natural surroundings and make visitors feel welcomed so that they will tell others about the beauty of Wakulla County.
"For those people who are interested in being a certified tour guide with 90 hours of training, they can participate in the program as students and become tour guides for visitors in the area," says Mary Wolfgang, director of TCC's Wakulla Center.
For more information on the program, contact Mary Wolfgang at 850-922-6290.
