There was a chase down busy Orange Avenue Tuesday afternoon after a fleeing car rammed a police cruiser.
It all started around 3:15 at the Holton Street Apartments and it ended at the corner of Fleetwood and Bragg. Tallahassee Police say am alert was out for a red Altima, and when officers tried to stop it the driver rammed into Officer Shannon Brown's car and took off. Officers gave chase until the car slammed into a culvert.
LT Brian Donaldson of the Tallahassee Police Department said, "Both people, both occupants fled from the vehicle. The driver was eventually apprehended on Fleetwood. He is going to be charged with multiple felonies as is the passenger who was apprehended very quickly about a block away with the help of the Sheriff's Department."
Those two men are now under arrest for possession of cocaine, and the driver faces additional charges of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle. OFC Brown was not hurt.
