Thousands of dollars are racked up on stolen credit cards. Now one man is behind bars facing numerous theft charges.
Thirty-eight-year-old Robert Wiberly is facing charges in Thomasville for stealing multiple credit cards.
Police say somehow the victims were distracted and that's when Wiberly went in their purse and stole their credit cards.
Police say Wiberly knew some of the victims.
CAPT Troy Rich with the Thomasville Police Department says, "He frequented them for official business that he had and built confidence with these people and then befriended them and made access into their purse."
Police say Wiberly is also facing charges in Thomas County for thousands of dollars of fuel purchased on a stolen gas card.
