An emergency board of trustees meeting bears good news for FAMU's 2006-2007 budget.
In Friday morning's meeting via telephone, trustee Regina Benjamin announced that the budget is balanced.
This latest clarification includes this year's direct allocation.
Board members say they are pleased to hear of a clear budget after negative talks circulating about the university losing money.
"The university is moving in the direction that is best for the big picture for the university. In the coming weeks we're very optimistic, the students will be back. We're looking forward to a great year at our university."
