A string of car break-ins in our area is causing anxiety among some residents, and for some, it has been a hard lesson in locking the doors.
Thirty cars in Thomasville and nine in Thomas County have been broken into in the last week and a half. Two cars were stolen, but one has been recovered.
Several of the break-ins occurred in the High Colony Lane area, leaving residents there unsettled.
"It is absolutely scary and knowing that this could happen to you in the middle of the night and you know you are scared to of break-ins and to know someone is that close to you and you didn't know it, it's just really scary."
Anyone with information on this rash of car burglaries is asked to call the Thomas County Sheriff's Office at 229-225-3333.
