Two local women shed some light on the unseen story of human trafficking this evening through a fund raiser at Chez Pierre.
Jen Abreu, a former Maclay School Counselor and Kaitlyn Summerhill, a recent Florida State graduate showed a preview of their documentary on human trafficking of children in Benin, Africa.
"Children are being exploited so they're working like from sun up until sun down. You'll have three year olds selling in the streets or six and seven year old boys working construction and they're not getting an education." says Jen Abreu, Unseen Stories Documentary maker.
They raised money by charging admission to tonight's documentary preview and raffling African art and other donated items.
The women say they want to spread awareness about this type of human trafficking.
