Gwendolyn McClain and Milous Brown were arrested and accused of scamming elderly residents out of cash.
It was a scheme that involved a purse full of fake money and requests for down payment to share in the find, all eventually leading to victims handing over cash while being left holding an empty bag.
Police say McClain and Brown may have also pulled the scam while in Tallahassee May 20 through May 31.
If you were a victim during that time period, please call SGT Bill Bierbaum of the Financial Crimes Unit at 850-891-4456.
