FSU's Center for Communications Disorders received a hefty donation from the Scottish Rite Foundation of Florida.
Wednesday morning, the foundation presented a $20,000 check to FSU. The money will go toward setting up a childhood speech and language clinic.
The Scottish Rite Foundation supports 14 similar clinics throughout Florida.
"We have already set up an endowment account. Hopefully, someday that endowment will completely take care of the clinic itself," said foundation secretary Keith Albright.
The aim of the Scottish Rite clinics is to provide children with state of the art breakthroughs in clinical diagnostics and therapies.
