The United Kingdom is Florida’s top overseas tourism market.
Nearly 1.5 million visitors came here from the UK last year. International visitors account for about eight percent of Florida tourists, and the UK accounts for about two percent of that figure.
"So anything that has an impact on their travel obviously can hurt us," Gov. Bush said. "But this is something that we’ve had to deal with before and we’ve just gotten through it. My expectation is we’ll do the same now.”
Gov. Bush recently returned from a trade mission to the United Kingdom.
