The 75 member choir has been invited to perform for the Kennedy Center's 22nd Annual Open House Arts Festival in Washington, D.C.
Prior to the performance, the choir will take a tour of several Gulf Coast areas hit hard by Hurricane Katrina.
"They spend so much time and effort here locally and it is nice to see their efforts rewarded on a national scale. This opportunity with the Kennedy Center is especially unique and we are honored to represent Tallahassee and Florida," said Boys Choir managing director Jennifer Hoesing.
The Kennedy Center performance will take place on Friday, September 15.
This weekend at Tallahassee's Bethel AME Church, choir members will hold a fundraiser to help fund their trip.
